Fond Du Lac Campground is located on the St. Louis River. There are full hook-ups, water/electricity, dry camping, showers, fishing, dump station, boat launch, 18 river miles to Duluth, along the Alex Laveau bike trail, 12 miles from downtown Duluth, next to Chamber's Grove city park and Jay Cook State Park. Fees apply for boat launch, sewage dump, fishing from the bank of the river and wood.
Silver Fox has four cabins and 42 campsites available. It is situated on Boulder Lake and there is a swimming beach for guests to use. Children stay free with parents.
Spirit Mountain Campground offers walk-in tenting as well as 73 campsites equipped with fire pits, picnic tables and electricity. Thirty-nine sites have water hook-ups, and two shower buildings offer 24-hour convenience. There is easy access to water, hiking and biking trails.
Hi Banks has cabins and camp sites available to rent, all within feet of Fish Lake. They are a year-round resort offering fishing, fall color getaways, access to state-wide snowmobile trails, and ice fishing. Boats and ice fishing houses can be rented.
The Skyline Court Motel has indoor lodging, camping, private campgrounds and a hotel/motel. There are two cabins and 15 hotel rooms available year-round. The campground has a total of 10 RV/Trailer-only sites, two of which are availble in the winter months.
The Park is for RVs and trailers only. There are full hookups, laundry, restrooms and showers. Look for daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal rares. Seasonal rate includes leaving unit on site over winter.
Camping opportunities range from fully developed campgrounds to secluded wilderness as well as backcountry (non-wilderness) sites that have few or no facilities. Boating, canoeing, and fishing opportunities can be had on the more than 2,000 lakes and streams found within the forest. Camping is available at most campgrounds during the "off" season at no cost but with fewer services.
Buffalo Valley has miles of hiking and biking trails. It is located on the Munger State Trail and connects to Jay Cooke State Park. RV and tenting is allowed year-round with water and power hookups. A pavilion is available for gatherings and meetings. Golf is only a half mile away.
The River Place Campground offers full hookup sites with city water and sewer. It is on the St. Louis River and has a dock if needed. They also offer a boat launch and bait.
The Eagle's Nest has indoor and outdoor lodging available year round. There are groomed snowmobile and cross country ski trails for visitors to explore. Fishing is also available.
Lakehead Boat Basin is a marina/boatyard providing dockage and storage in Duluth. During the summer, the winter storage area is converted to a RV Park or camper sites. It is located only three blocks south of the Aerial Bridge on what is called park point or Minnesota Point. The Lakehead Boat Basin offers 30 RV parking sites. Twelve of the sites offer full hookup including water, electric, and sewer. All locations are on blacktop.
Outskirts Village is a plus 50 mobile home & RV park, located in a rural setting with 18 sites, full hook-up, 30 amp service. Located 5 miles from Duluths waterfront, 2 blocks from City bus stop and Woodland shopping center.
A 9 hole par 3 golf course is located directly across the street from the park.
Indian Point Campground offers camp sites right on the St. Louis River, close to downtown Duluth. The Willard Munger Bike trail starts right at the campground entrance. Full hook ups, electric only, or electric and water and tent sites are available, and range in price from $17 to $25. This campground also offers canoe and bike rentals, as well as bike shuttles.
Snowflake Campsite has over 25 tent campsites and over 180 acres of land with 15 kilometers of trails available for hiking. The nearby chalet has a local telephone, showers and private restroom facilities available. Snacks, beverages and firewood are available for sale. Each wooded site has a table and a fire pit.
